Kavita’s Story
I didn't plan to become a "resilience person." But looking back, every turn in my career was preparing me for exactly that.
My journey started in international communications—I hold both an International MBA and an MA in International Intercultural Communications. Early on, I learned that the best strategies fall apart without genuine understanding of the people they're meant to serve.
That insight followed me everywhere: from my time in brand strategy and innovation to the years I spent helping organizations navigate complex transformations across both private and public sectors.
Before co-founding UPlift Collaborative, I spent over a decade in management consulting. I worked on business strategy, organizational design, stakeholder engagement; the kinds of projects where success hinges on seeing connections others miss.
People often describe me as strategy-minded, someone who can take seemingly disparate concepts and weave them into something comprehensive yet easy to understand. I've also been called a "wizard at designing impactful images and storytelling," which I take as a compliment because making complex strategy accessible is exactly what drew me to this work.
I met Kristin through the consulting world, and we discovered we shared something important: empathy for the leaders we saw struggling through mandated changes, structural shifts, and market disruptions without a roadmap.
That's why we founded UPlift Collaborative. We wanted to focus our work on mission-driven clients who were trying to increase their impact, and we wanted to do consulting differently. Not just delivering frameworks and walking away, but genuinely partnering with leaders to build sustainable resilience rooted in empathy, relevance, and actionability.
